Cellar Number 8
Cellar No.8 - robust, full-flavored red wines steeped in a rich heritage. It was back in 1881 when Italian immigrants founded the Asti Winery in Sonoma County. Applying methods and expertise from the old country, they created immortal reds and formed an entire community around which winemaking was it's soul.
Today, Cellar No.8 pays tribute to the original location where these pioneers cellared their wines more than 100 years ago. At the same time, these flavorful reds reflect the lively character and hearty spirit of the people themselves. Cellar No. 8 wines are made from grapes grown in California’s Central and North Coast appellations and blended to highlight the classic flavors of each varietal. Our goal is to deliver rich, robust wines that you are proud to share with your friends and family.

Alan Sargisian
Winemaker
Born and raised in Turlock, California, Alan Sargisian stumbled into the field of winemaking. After graduating from the University of California, Merced with a degree in Chemistry, Alan landed an internship in the wine industry. It was there that his new passion was unlocked. His interest in fermentation science made him want to explore the industry further, so Alan moved abroad where he earned his master’s degree in Wine Management from Bordeaux, France.
Alan believes that great wines start in the vineyards. “Having the right soil types and proper treatment on the vines is crucial to a successful grape yield. Once the grapes are picked and brought in, it is now the one and only opportunity to produce the best California wine of this vintage. My approach is to ensure the absolute best stylistic quality and consistency for our customers to enjoy around the world.”
Alan considers every day an opportunity to get better. He loves his work that engages all the senses, involves science, art, and physical labor, and inspires camaraderie through teamwork. He hopes to provide the next generation of winemakers with the same guidance and direction that he has received from his Bronco Wine Co. team.
